The US Airborne Late WWII Paratroopers, an awesome new plastic collection, are now ready for Pre-Jump inspection. This set includes a 30-man plastic US Airborne Platoon with enough plastic components to create 30 US Airborne miniatures in the M-1943 uniform, along with a variety of options to allow for different weapon configurations and command models.

The US Airborne divisions, which included the renowned 101st 'Screaming Eagles' and the 82nd 'All American', have a rich history. After blooding themselves during the fighting in Sicily in 1943 and playing a crucial role in the D-Day landings in June 1944, these battle-hardened troops were withdrawn from the front lines to rest and refit. Re-equipped with the new green M-1943 uniform, they would later be used by the Allied High command during Operation Market Garden, an ambitious plan to open a corridor through Holland by parachuting in several US, British and Polish airborne divisions to take key bridges.

Following the ill-fated Market Garden, the US paratroopers would drop into Germany in 1945 as part of Operations Varsity and Plunder, the crossing of the mighty River Rhine itself. These heroic actions have been immortalized in film and television, with 'A Bridge Too Far' and 'Band of Brothers' serving as great sources of inspiration for these troops and the battles they fought in.

The weapons included in the set are the M1 Garand rifle, Thompson submachine gun, Browning pistol, Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), M1 Carbine, hand grenades, machete, and .30 Cal medium machine gun.

This product is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and players will need to provide their own glue and paints. Recreate World War II combat on a tabletop using dice, model troops, tanks, and the rules constructed by Bolt Action against one or more opponents. The construction and painting of the models, as well as watching them come to life, are just as much fun as the game itself!
